Zoe Knighton (cello) and Pia Johnson (photographer) have taken the 36 seminal movements of J.S Bach’s suites for solo cello and created images to express the character and essence of each suite. Get lost in the images as the music allows the viewer and listener time to delve into the many aural and visual layers.
‘These images have changed the way I play Bach’s music. I have loved staring at the photos while I practise. The process has been a complete two way collaboration with me playing to Pia while she tries various options. It has been one of the most satisfying creative projects of which I have ever been a part.’ Zoe Knighton
