I began photographing my Por por’s house just after she suffered from a stroke and was recovering in hospital.

It is a house that I associate with Chinese cultural customs, and my Chinese Malaysian heritage, it is a kind of source. It is the place where my cultural blend comes into focus in sometimes familiar, sometimes strange ways.
